Biography
Guitarist Simon Austin assembled the Melbourne, Australian folk-pop band Frente! in 1991, enlisting Angie Hart, Simon Austin (guitar), Tim O'Connor, and Mark Picton—who was later replaced by Alastair Barden—to complete the group. Their quirky acoustic take on New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle” propelled Frente! into the international spotlight during the summer of 1994. Capitalizing on that single, Marvin: The Album reached the charts, while the track “Labor of Love” registered as a minor hit. Shape arrived in 1996.
