Biography
Gary Fjellgaard, the folk and country singer, came into the world in 1937 in Saskatchewan, Canada, where his initial stage experience came through performances with his church choir. After relocating to British Columbia, he spent his days as a logger and took the stage at assorted clubs once night fell. Two albums eventually surfaced on Royalty Records: Me and Martin in 1976 and Ballads and Beer in 1979. Upon receiving a country award in 1982 for the single "Ten Years Old and Barefoot," Fjellgaard entered into a recording agreement with Savannah Music, which in turn yielded No Time to Lose in 1986, Time and Innocence in 1987, Heart of a Dream in 1989, Winds of October in 1991 and Believe in Forever in 1994.
