Biography
Born in Paris in 1948, comedic actor Gérard Darmon left formal education behind once primary school ended, turning instead to a life in theater. His abilities quickly drew attention, leading him to join a Paris workshop that kept him engaged through his early twenties. The year 1973 marked his entry into cinema with a part in The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob. Progressing from minor parts to prominent billing, he established himself as a key presence in French comedy by the early 1980s. Over time he earned widespread affection from French-speaking viewers across the globe through his sharp humor and effortless screen presence. His first album, Au Milieu de la Nuit, arrived in 2003, with the lighthearted international hit Dancing following three years afterward.
