Biography
In 1988 Polydor added vocalist Gerry Woo to its roster, which led to the release of his only album, Listen to My Heart Beat. Although his family hailed from the Philippines, Detroit shaped his early years and immersed him in the enduring influence of Motown. The record, however, reflected the label’s output from the close of the 1980s more than the classic era of the 1960s.
