Biography
From a young age Gilles Apap studied violin, only later taking up the fiddle at 26 and continuing that exploration without interruption. His sole solo project appeared as the 1996 album Gilles Apap and the Transylvanian Mountain. He has also contributed to recordings by Jim Connolly & the Gove County Philharmonic, Headless Household, Ottmar Liebert, and Luis Munoz. In addition, his work appears on two tribute collections: 1998’s Pickin’ on Neil Young and the 2000 release Pickin’ on Crosby Stills, Nash, & Young.
