Biography
Working as an Italian violinist, this musician appeared at the Hapsburg court of Innsbruck from 1656 to 1660, assumed the post of director of court music in 1676, led an opera troupe in Naples at intervals from 1678 through 1682, and held the post of choir master at Pistoia Cathedral. Corelli together with Pasquini joined the Venice performances of his opera Astiage. Viviani produced operas, oratorios, cantatas, a sequence of demanding solfegges, and additional instrumental works for violin.
