Prolific producer and DJ gyrofield continually explores fresh rhythmic possibilities through strikingly original and boundary-pushing drum'n'bass compositions. Online releases began in 2018, ranging across glitchy breaks, IDM, and dark ambient textures, before EPs surfaced on Mau5trap and Overview Music in 2020. The overtly abstract Depths of Winter from 2022 sat alongside more club-oriented material such as "Retinues," while 2024 saw the appearance of A Faint Glow of Bravery on Metalheadz, These Heavens on XL, and Flower Burial on Best Intentions.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kiana Li started producing electronic music at age 13 under the sway of techno, drum'n'bass, pop, and rock. Tracks issued as gyrofield from 2018 included the EP Semantics, followed by Evaluate Me in 2019 and a move to Bristol for music studies. The year 2020 delivered the Tech Flex EP via Overview Music, Synopsis on Deadmau5's Mau5trap Recordings, and the ambient/IDM set All of Meaning. Alongside experimental work such as 2022's Depths of Winter came the more accessible drum'n'bass single "Retinues"/"Urgency" on Critical Music and Evangelion for Beginners on Overview. Stimulus arrived on Noisia's Vision Recordings in 2023, "Maybes"/"Oligarch" marked a debut on Goldie's Metalheadz, and the dubstep-influenced "Insecure"/"Stockholm" appeared on Deadbeats. Early 2024 brought the seven-song A Faint Glow of Bravery to Metalheadz, The B to Vision, and gyrofield's first vinyl outing These Heavens to XL, with Flower Burial on Best Intentions closing the year.
