Biography
Hady Mirza entered the world on January 28, 1980, and established himself as a Singapore-based pop vocalist whose breakthrough arrived between 2006 and 2007 after he claimed victory on both Singapore Idol and Asian Idol. His first long-form release, the self-titled Hady Mirza, surfaced in 2006 and quickly yielded two major singles—one in English titled “You Give Me Wings” and one in Malay titled “Merpati.” Having secured the second season of Singapore Idol earlier that same year, he went on to capture the inaugural edition of Asian Idol in 2007, a competition that assembles the champions from Singapore Idol, Malaysian Idol, Indonesian Idol, Indian Idol, Philippine Idol, and Vietnam Idol.
