Biography
Drawing strong inspiration from his idol Wes Montgomery, Henry Johnson displays notable skill on guitar along with an attractive tone. His performing credits encompass work with Jack McDuff’s band from 1976 to 1977, plus engagements alongside Sonny Stitt, Hank Crawford, Ramsey Lewis from 1979 to 1983, and Joe Williams; he also cut three leader dates for MCA/Impulse between 1987 and 1990.
