History In The Making

Contemporary R&B and pop-rap outfit History in the Making brings together singer/dancer Dylan, singer Jawan, and rapper Pryce. Mark Pitts and Rodney Jerkins, veterans whose résumés include work with Mary J. Blige, the Notorious B.I.G., TLC, and Miguel stretching back to the early ’90s, discovered the members. In 2014 the trio was paired with songwriters and producers including the Underdogs, Soundz, and Verse Simmonds. That November the group issued its first recording, the swaggering single “T.G.I.F.,” which was followed in April 2015 by the relatively heartfelt “Walk Away.”
