Hypnolove

Hypnolove draws inspiration from disco and '80s pop to urge listeners onto the dance floor. Their opening single, "Mademoiselle," from the 2006 debut album Eurolove, poses the question "voulez-vous dancer" while its playful clip deploys stop-motion figures as a tribute to classic '80s club culture. The three members originate from Toulouse in southern France, a city recognized more for aerospace manufacturing than for its music community. While studying sound engineering there, Henning Specht encountered Thierry and Nicolas, and the three formed Hypnolove. The group issued its first EP on Confusion Records in 1998. Although that label folded soon afterward, the band continued creating music. Appearances on multiple compilations and support from DJs internationally eventually led Hypnolove to sign with Record Makers, which issued Eurolove in 2006.
