Ian Kelly

Canadian singer/songwriter Ian Kelly crafts melodic folk and pop. Born Ian Couture in Montreal in 1979, he later adopted his mother’s maiden name to distinguish himself from another artist sharing the same name. His debut album, the self-produced Insecurity, appeared in 2005. The follow-up, Speak Your Mind, arrived in 2008 on the Audiogram label; though largely self-produced, the record moved more than 40,000 copies and solidified his standing. Diamonds & Plastic, his third album, came out in 2011 and likewise performed strongly, earning several Félix award nominations the next year. Produced by Eloi Painchaud, his fourth studio album reached stores in the fall of 2013.
