Biography
University of Colorado attendees Jarvis Anderson on keyboards and vocals, Sam Martin on keyboards and vocals, and Simon Katz on guitar first assembled the new wave revivalists Iglu & Hartly once the trio had moved to California in search of musical opportunities. Chicago-born drummer Luis Rosiles and Los Angeles native Michael Bucher on bass completed the lineup shortly thereafter. Their opening single, Violent and Young, appeared on the U.K. imprint Another Music = Another Kitchen during June 2008; Iglu & Hartly then inked a deal with Mercury and scheduled the follow-up single In This City for release that September.
