Biography
Ska-pop-punk quartet ill Scarlett came together in Ontario, Canada, during 2001. Drawing from the sound of Sublime, the California ska-pop trailblazers, the group brought its music straight to fans in 2004 by powering a generator-powered set for people queued outside the Vans Warped Tour entrance. That performance drew the attention of organizers, who booked the band for the next two summers. Before securing a major-label contract, ill Scarlett put out the independent full-length Clearly in Another Fine Mess along with the EP EPdemic, then worked with Matthew Wilder, the producer known for his work with No Doubt. The resulting record, All Day with It, arrived in July 2007 and included the track “Who’s Got It,” which served as the official anthem for the 2007 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
