Biography
A talented Brazilian musician named Ivan Vilela first turned to composition upon reaching age 11, later entering the band Pedra in 1979 and Agua Doce in 1982. During the opening years of the 1980s he collaborated with singer Pricila Stephan to establish the duo Ivan & Pricila, which cut an album in 1985 and then toured throughout the country. Ivan Vilela assembled the three-piece act Trem De Corda in 1991, an outfit that merged classical and pop music and delivered the album Trilhas in 1994. The instrumentalist also became part of Anima, a group that fused Brazilian folk with medieval classical music, and this affiliation produced Espiral Do Tempo in 1998 along with the solo album Paisagens issued the same year.
