Biography
After serving as a sideman alongside numerous jazz artists such as Ray Barretto, trumpeter Joe Magnarelli launched his career as a bandleader via the 2008 Reservoir Music release Persistence. Baritone saxophonist Gary Smulyan joined him on this recording, which also included pianist David Hazeltine, bassist Peter Washington, and drummer Kenny Washington in the rhythm section.
