Biography
Drawing inspiration from his father, a writer of poems, Puerto Rican José Nogueras began composing songs at age 17. His initial releases appeared as Para Tu Fiesta and Tiempo Nuevo. Talented tropical artists including Rubén Blades, Héctor Lavoe, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Tony Vega, among others, have performed his material. In 1999 Luis "Perico" Ortíz produced the third album, El Cuarto Rey Mago.
