Biography
Colombian urbano artist Juan Duque entered the world in Medellín during 1996. While pursuing a Business degree at the city’s university, he first gained attention as an influencer and participant in the comedy collective Latiners. That period taught him how to build and maintain an engaged social-media presence, prompting him to launch solo music releases under his own name in 2018. In contrast to the relentless aggressive and sexualized boasting common in the genre, his work, much like that of fellow Colombian urbano pop acts such as Maluma and Piso 21, favors an upbeat, romantic outlook. Steady audience growth followed through tracks like “+Chimbita” and “X Ti Lo Digo,” along with his widely covered relationship with actress Lina Tejeiro. The year 2023 marked a breakthrough, delivering his first major success via the single “María,” the release of his debut EP Qué Momento Pa’ Estar Vivo, and the launch of an international tour. His first full-length project, Mis Traumas, Mis Chistes, arrived in late 2024 through Warner Music.
