Andrés Cepeda

Having performed as guitarist and vocalist for the acclaimed Colombian rock group Polygamy through the final years of the 1980s and the first years of the 1990s, Andres Cepeda has sustained an ongoing role in his country’s music community. After the band dissolved he devoted two years in the United States to the study of sound engineering, then reentered Colombia’s musical environment upon his return. In addition to helming projects for local performers such as Carolina Sabino and Marbelle and acting as musical director for the soap opera El Amor Es Mas Fuerte (My Love Is Stronger), he has issued the solo albums Se Morir and El Carpintero since 2000. The youngest of five brothers, Cepeda began piano lessons with Ruth Marulanda at age five.
