Biography
Longtime featured vocalist for the popular ensemble Riverdance, the Irish singer Katie McMahon built her reputation in that role. Having studied classical techniques as both a vocalist and harpist, she initially gained notice through her involvement with the Irish choral group Anuna. From the very beginning of Riverdance, McMahon participated, performing within the seven-minute segment that earned first place at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest before committing to the ensemble's primary touring production. Her first independent album, After the Morning, appeared in 1998, with Shine arriving three years afterward.
