Biography
London singer/songwriter Charles Costa, whose appearance sits between Adam Ant and Prince while his music fuses glam rock, psychedelic folk, and indie pop, took up songwriting at 17. Commanding guitar, piano, and cello alongside classical vocal schooling, he assumed the King Charles name in 2007 after returning to London from a two-year sociology program at Durham University. Capturing the Nashville-based International Songwriting Competition in 2009 secured him a worldwide agreement with Universal Republic, prompting him to track his debut album in Hollywood, California. Loveblood emerged from those sessions in May 2012.
