Experimental electronic music producer Klara Lewis shapes eerie, rhythm-tinged works from field recordings, samples, and digital processing. Editions Mego, the Austrian imprint, has issued most of her output, among them the 2014 debut Ett and the 2018 album Care, recorded with Simon Fisher Turner.

Raised in Sweden as the daughter of Wire bassist Graham Lewis, she first experimented with music in 2009. A self-released 2012 EP introduced her raw approach, assembling jagged, near-industrial beats from scavenged audio fragments and processing. Three years on, Editions Mego folded those same three pieces into Ett, which was soon followed by the four-track Msuic EP on Peder Mannerfelt’s own label. Too, another Editions Mego full-length, surfaced in 2016 and included two selections shaped with input from Simon Fisher Turner. The following year brought remixes of Carmen Villain and Factory Floor, and in 2018 the pair completed their joint album Care. A twenty-minute piece titled “Ingrid,” built on a lone cello loop, appeared in 2020.
