Kofi

Initially collaborating with the trio Brown Sugar, which featured Pauline Catlin and Soul II Soul vocalist Caron Wheeler, British reggae singer Kofi launched her recording career. "Place in the Sun" served as her first solo single. She later issued the album Black...With Sugar on Mad Professor's Ariwa Records. In 1990 "Proud of Mandela," a remake drawn from her debut, topped the reggae charts. Ras handled the domestic release of Wishing Well.
