Biography
In 1983 the brothers Fermín Muguruza and Iñigo Muguruza launched the Basque alternative trio Kortatu with drummer Treku Armendariz completing the lineup. The band earned acclaim for its magnetic stage presence and outspoken lyrics, issuing a self-titled debut in 1985 that was followed by El Estado De Las Cosas in 1986 and Kolpez Kolpe in 1988. A live set titled Azken Guda Dantza was captured during a show in Pamplone, Iruña shortly before the group dissolved in 1989.
