Formed in the mid-'80s as Incidente Local, the Spanish hardcore/punk quartet Reincidentes featured Juan Barea on bass, Manuel Pizarro behind the drums, and Fernando Medina handling guitar along with vocals. Their first live appearance took place at Sevilla's university in 1987. Two years afterward the group reached the finals of a regional rock competition, at which point saxophonist José Luis Nieto came aboard. Discos Trilita put out the self-titled debut in 1989, which met with enormous popularity in the Basque country. The label Discos Suicidas then issued Ni Un Paso Atras in 1991 and ¿Dónde Esta Judas? in 1992. Following their participation in Expo Sevilla, Reincidentes began touring Central America. Once back in Spain, Finito de Badajoz joined as the new guitarist and the band soon recorded Sol y Rabia. The rock act signed with BMG in 1997 and earned its first gold record the next year with the double album Algazara.
