Platero Y Tu

Platero y Tú, a Spanish rock & roll and blues outfit, first entered Bilbao’s local circuit once it put out its debut album Voy A Acabar Borracho. Securing a deal with the regional imprint DRO, the group then issued Burrock’n’roll in 1991, Muy Deficiente in 1992, and Vamos Tirando in 1993. Its commercial arrival occurred in 1994 via Hay Poco Rock’n’Roll, which became the band’s inaugural gold-certified release. Two years afterward, Platero y Tú joined Extremoduro for a nationwide trek across Spain, capturing the shows for the live album and video A Pelo. Growing audiences coincided with noticeable gains in sonic quality, a refinement evidenced by the 1997 album 7 and its successor Correos.
