Venezuelan singers and songwriters Luis Jiménez and Agustín Zubillaga operate as the duo LAGOS, specializing in romantic Latin pop. Prior to stepping out as performers, the pair accumulated ten years of credits as producers, writers, and musicians behind artists that included Danna Paola, Samo, and Maite Perroni. Their public debut arrived in 2019 through the singles "Reset" and "Guerra Fría," both of which later appeared on the first album Clásicos, issued in 2021. Steady output of new tracks, videos, and featured appearances with Reik, Elena Rose, Lasso, Danny Ocean, Las Villa, Nicole Zignago, and Jambene, together with concerts in Spain, Venezuela, Mexico, and the United States, sustained their presence before and after that release. The second album, Alta Fidelidad, reached listeners in 2024.
