Libido

Libido, a Latin rock outfit from Peru, came together in 1996 when four musicians whose involvement with music dated back to childhood pooled their efforts. Drummer Jeffry Fischman had already begun composing at fourteen, bassist Antonio Jauregui had taken up the guitar at twelve, vocalist and guitarist Salim Vera trained in singing at Lima's Art Museum, and guitarist Manolo Hidalgo had joined his school's ensemble at eight. Delivering a polished pop/rock style, the group put out its debut album on its own in 1998.
