Biography
Beginning his recording career in 1963, reggae singer Lloyd Robinson laid down multiple tracks at Studio One. Numerous Jamaican producers later employed his talents, among them Duke Reid, Lloyd Daley, Sir JJ, and others. He belonged to the late-'60s rock-steady ensemble the Tartans alongside Cedric Myton, who would go on to form the Congos, performed duets with Glen Brown, and made up one half of the duo Lloyd and Devon, whose hit "Red Bum Ball" appeared on Derrick Morgan's Hop label.
