Formed in 1953, Los Tres Ases served as the resident performers at Mexico City's La Bandida bordello. Singer Marco Antonio Muñiz joined guitarists Juan Neri and Hector González in selecting the group's moniker randomly from slips deposited in an urn. Mariano Rivera Conde secured their contract with RCA, leading to immediate successes with tracks such as "Mi Ultimo Fracaso," "Deliro," "Estoy Perdido," "La Puerta," and "Contigo a la Distancia." International tours commenced during the mid-1950s, coinciding with their recognition as Mexico's top trio for both 1955 and 1956. Following the 1959 departures of Muñiz and Neri, González persisted with substitute players, yet failed to replicate the original lineup's achievements.
