Massimo Volume emerged in 1991 as an enduring Italian rock outfit that issued albums and maintained an active touring schedule before dissolving in 2002. Their reunion originated in July 2008 when the Museum of Cinema in Turin invited the musicians to supply a live soundtrack for a screening of Jean Epstein’s The Fall of the House of Usher. That commission quickly evolved into a complete return, prompting the group to resume live performances and develop fresh recordings. By autumn 2010 the resulting album Cattive Abitudini (Bad Habits) entered Italy’s Top 100 and reached a high of number 64. Guitarist Dario Parisini, a founding member of the band, passed away on June 9, 2022 at age 55.
