Biography
Michael Schenker, whose earlier stints in Scorpions and UFO had already established him as a key hard-rock guitarist, founded the band in the early 1980s under the name Michael Schenker Group, commonly shortened to MSG. Irish vocalist Robin McAuley’s arrival in 1987 prompted the switch to the group’s current designation.
