Biography
Following the familiar trajectory of musical trends, the ascent of glam metal acts such as Poison and Ratt during the late 1980s prompted a wave of imitators, among them Danger Danger. The five-piece lineup consisted of Ted Poley on vocals, Andy Timmons on guitar, Bruno Ravel on bass, Steve West on drums, and Kasey Smith on keyboards. Blending pop hooks and visual appeal with aggressive guitar riffs, the group secured a contract with Epic in 1989. That same year brought the release of their self-titled debut album, which generated the single and video "Naughty Naughty" and earned limited rotation on MTV's Headbanger's Ball. Although the record did not propel the band to mainstream success, they maintained their approach and continued releasing material, including Screw It in 1992, Dawn in 1995, Four the Hard Way in 1998, and Return of the Great in 2000.
