Midnight Skyracer, the Anglo-Irish bluegrass quintet, move between the genre’s propulsive, high-octane material and its quieter, more introspective passages without strain.
Sisters Charlotte Carrivick on guitar and Laura Carrivick on fiddle and dobro front the lineup that coalesced in 2017 around Tabitha Agnew on banjo, Leanne Thorose on mandolin, and Eleanor Wilkie on bass. Their debut album, Fire, appeared the following year. Capitalizing on its reception, the group joined Island and delivered their next release, Shadows on the Moon, in 2020 at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
