Biography
Born in France to parents of Algerian descent, Myriam Abel secured victory during season three of Nouvelle Star, the French edition of Pop Idol or American Idol. From childhood she immersed herself in song, entering regional contests beginning at age ten and committing to intensive vocal study across her teenage years. A move to Paris led to regular performances at a jazz club, yet her decisive breakthrough arrived in 2005 when she again triumphed on Nouvelle Star, earning a recording contract with Sony/BMG. The resulting debut album, La Vie Devant Toi, reached stores in 2006.
