Naevus

Naevus emerged in London, England in 1998 by fusing disparate musical approaches such as industrial, folk, and pop that seldom intersect. The founding duo of Lloyd James on vocals and acoustic guitar with Joanne Owen on bass and accordion issued their first album, Truffles of Love, through the Wooden Lung label in 1999. Soil appeared next in 2001, followed by Behaviour in 2002. Perfection Is A Process arrived in 2004 on Operative, earning widespread critical praise for its eclectic range. The band expanded to a quartet ahead of the subsequent release by elevating earlier collaborators John Murphy on drums and Greg Ferrari on electric guitar to permanent roles. The resulting Silent Life, issued on Hau Ruck!, received strong critical notice and included guest contributions from members of Urge Within, Sieben, and Current 93.
