Ncredible Gang

Nick Cannon, the comedian, actor, rapper, and minor celebrity, joined forces with fellow rapper Itsamovie to launch Ncredible Gang, a venture titled after his own artist-management firm Ncredible Entertainment. The collective’s initial offering surfaced in early summer 2016 as the single “Snapchat (Getting Freaky),” an eerie, stripped-down reflection on overtly sexualized social-media personas. Releases from the group remained scattered and largely casual until Cannon revived the project in late 2017 with the new track “Dream Girl.” On this cut Cannon enlisted Ty Money and Jeremih to deliver a wistful meditation on lingering emotions toward a former romantic interest. Observers quickly speculated that the track’s rueful tone was directed, rather pointedly, at Cannon’s former spouse Mariah Carey. Its lighthearted clip featured footage of dogs in formal attire mouthing the lyrics. During 2018 Cannon and the Gang collaborated with Fat Joe and DJ Luke Nasty on the summery groove “Only You,” then dropped “Gettin’ Freaky” alongside Itsamovie, “Hold On” with Sahyba, and “NoBody Else” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Jacquees.
