Biography
Hailing from Ohio, the thrash-punk outfit the Necros first surfaced in the early 1980s via a nine-track EP jointly issued by the respected independents Dischord and Touch & Go. Two years afterward the band signed with Touch & Go, delivering their debut full-length Conquest for Death—an album that effectively closed out their recording activity for an extended stretch. Their only subsequent release before 1987 was a split 7" shared with White Flag; when they resurfaced that year, Tangled Up unveiled a substantially altered lineup and a noticeably milder intensity.
