Biography
At just 18 years old, Nick Swardson, working as a comedian, actor, and writer, started performing on the comedy club circuit in St. Paul, Minnesota. His blend of trashy and silly material quickly gained traction, and after only two years of experience he relocated to New York City, where he secured spots at the Comic Strip and Caroline's. Multiple appearances on late-night television talk shows resulted in his own half-hour standup special airing on Comedy Central in 2000. He soon headed to Los Angeles to concentrate on acting and writing. The year 2003 marked a breakthrough, as Swardson co-wrote the film Malibu's Most Wanted alongside Jamie Kennedy while taking on the recurring role of roller-skating male prostitute Terry in Reno 911. One year afterward he voiced the "Gay Robot" character on Adam Sandler's album Shhh...Don't Tell. Swardson received an invitation to join Sandler's Happy Madison Productions and began contributing scripts to the films Grandma's Boy and The Benchwarmers, both of which reached theaters in 2006. During 2007 he appeared in Blades of Glory and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry while also issuing his debut comedy album, Party. Seriously, Who Farted? arrived two years later.
