Biography
Rodrigo Torres de la Garza operates under the stage name NSQK as a Mexican-American figure who produces, sings, and writes songs. Monterrey marks his birthplace, though his upbringing took place in Houston, where he cultivated wide-ranging musical tastes that embraced Latin pop and rock alongside rap and EDM. His initial entry into the music world came through co-founding and belonging to the collective No Pedí Permiso, and he simultaneously served as one-half of the electro-pop duo Southboys. The Botánica EP from 2020 established him independently, presenting a set of tracks that combined wistful lyrics with pop melodies, trap, and electronic beats. Numerous singles and joint efforts came afterward, among which the 2021 EP Braille alongside Méne proved especially prominent. His debut full-length album, Roy, surfaced in 2022. ATP followed in 2024 and incorporated guest spots from El Malilla, Nina, Álvaro Díaz, and Paopao.
