Ohrbooten

Operating out of Berlin, the outfit Ohrbooten blended politically charged and comedic verses across a fusion of sounds the members themselves titled "Gyp-Hop," a hybrid of gypsy music and hip-hop. Sharing a roster with the independent punk group Die Toten Hosen, they issued their debut album Spieltrieb in 2005. Follow-up singles preceded a double release in 2007 consisting of the full-lengths Babylon Boot and You Only Live Once. The band also performed at major festivals such as Rock am Ring and Summerjam while backing an anti-racism program in public schools.
