Nosliw emerged as a German reggae singer with his first full-length album on Rootdown Records in 2004. Born Eric Wilson in Bonn in 1975, he entered music during the early 1990s as a rapper with the crew D.U.G. (Die Unendlichen Gedichte). That group issued scattered recordings on the Bass Buden Bonn label near the decade’s end. He later connected with fellow German reggae artist Nattyflo, whose influence prompted a move from hip-hop into reggae. The partnership brought him to Rootdown Records after 2000. The label issued Nattyflo’s Wochenend’ EP in 2001, which featured Nosliw, and followed it with his own five-track In Vollen Zügen EP in 2002. That project produced the hit single “Nur Dabei,” built on the “Doctor’s Darling” riddim. His album debut arrived as Mittendrin in 2004 and generated the singles “Wie Welt” and “Musik,” the latter serving as the foundation for a 2005 EP. Produced mainly by Mannschaftskollege Teka, the second album Mehr Davon appeared in 2007 and yielded “Immer Wieder Hören” and “Mehr Davon.” The third album, “Heiss & Laut,” followed in 2009 with the singles “Ey Jau” and “Heiss & Laut.” Soulforce supplied a remix edition of the album in 2010.
