Oordaya introduced her giddy, intimate alternative R&B material through the self-recorded Mind Me EP in 2018. The single "YAYO" led her first studio project, Three, which arrived in 2020. A year later she reached major-label status with the release of "Better Days."
Clara Guenot passed portions of her childhood in France, then Jordan and Botswana, before moving to Toulouse in the South of France during her mid-teens. Music captivated her from an early age, yet she traces her focused commitment to the discipline to age 17, when Jorja Smith's "Blue Lights" made a decisive impression. Under the name Oordaya she issued the self-recorded Mind Me EP in 2018. The following year she traveled to London for her first studio session. That work yielded the Three EP, released in mid-2020 and featuring the single "YAYO," whose streaming traction secured a deal with Epic. Her initial Epic single, the Twinsmatic-produced "Better Days," appeared in 2021.
