Owen Campbell

Owen Campbell, an Australian guitarist and singer-songwriter, has built his reputation on a blues-steeped slide guitar technique paired with earthy, roots-driven compositions. Raised in Canberra, he developed an early fascination with music after a guitar arrived as a gift near his ninth birthday. By his early twenties he had become a seasoned performer, devoting several years to busking while journeying across multiple continents. Sunshine Road, his debut album, appeared in 2011. The following year he reached a broader public as a contestant on the sixth season of the televised competition Australia's Got Talent; although he did not reach the grand finale, audiences embraced him as a favorite. Pilgrim, his second full-length album, arrived after the show ended. The EP Songs for Syria surfaced in 2014, and Breathing Bullets, his third studio album, followed in 2016.
