PRhyme

In 2014 the hip-hop duo PRhyme materialized through a partnership that joined storied East Coast producer DJ Premier with Detroit-raised rapper Royce da 5'9". Royce da 5'9" had built his career alongside Eminem, while Premier supplied the signature sound for many of the genre’s strongest releases from the early 1990s forward; each contributor brought his most potent skills into the new project. After lengthy recording sessions, the pair issued their debut as the self-titled album in late 2014, a nine-track collection populated by guest appearances from Common, Killer Mike, Dwele, Jay Electronica, and numerous other leading hip-hop artists. The follow-up, PRhyme2, arrived in early 2018 and featured additional guests including Dave East, Rapsody, Big K.R.I.T., Yelawolf, and 2 Chainz.
