Biography
Pridjevi, hailing from Croatia, crafts an eclectic brand of experimental retro-pop that folds in Baroque pop, Tropicalia, acid rock, and psych-blasted worldbeat, functioning as an Eastern European counterpart to the storied Brazilian psych-rock outfit Os Mutantes. The trio of gifted and flexible Croatian songwriters Dino Santaleza, Ivana Picek, and Nina Romić launched the project on a whim as a home-recording venture in which the three exchanged musical ideas through email. Those sessions produced the core material for the band’s first album, which surfaced initially on Bandcamp in 2014. The self-titled collection later reached the rising garage-punk imprint Trouble in Mind, which pressed the LP on vinyl and compact disc in 2015.
