Biography
In 2009, Menomena multi-instrumentalist Brent Knopf launched Ramona Falls in Portland, Oregon, as his own solo endeavor. The project takes its name from a hiking trail on Mt. Hood that Knopf knew in childhood, and the ensemble’s first public appearance arrived the same year with the album Intuit, issued by the Seattle-based Barsuk label and showcasing the group’s mix of electro-acoustic pop and left-field indie rock, by turns whimsical and brooding.
