Res

In 2001 Res, pronounced Reese, issued her first album, How I Do. Doc, who had previously contributed to Esthero’s 1998 album Breath From Another, handled the bulk of the production on this fusion of hip-hop, rock, and soul, with the hip-hop component emerging most clearly. Before that release Res, who grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, had already lent her voice to GZA’s Beneath the Surface and supplied guest vocals on Talib Kweli & Hi Tek’s Reflection Eternal.
