RL

Following a pair of releases as part of the trio Next, RL stepped into solo work backed by industry powerhouse Clive Davis. The veteran executive placed RL on the roster of his recently launched J Records imprint, which issued the debut album RL: Ements. That project included a pair of high-potential singles—the Snoop Dogg-Lil' Kim-Battlecat collaboration "Do You Wanna Roll" and the Jermaine Dupri-Erick Sermon collaboration "Got Me a Model"—as well as remaining tracks that carried no major guest appearances.
