Biography

Born on August 24, 1998, in Turku, Finland’s coastal city, Robin Packalen rose to prominence as a teen pop sensation. By age 15 he had already become an internet phenomenon. His 2012 debut single “Frontside Ollie,” titled after a familiar skateboard maneuver, drew more than 11 million YouTube views and held the top spot on the Finnish pop charts for weeks without interruption. In the same year Packalen made his screen debut in the documentary Robin - The Movie while issuing his first album, Koodi, which earned quintuple platinum certification. His second album, Chillaa, appeared later that autumn and was succeeded by Boom Kah in 2013.
